For Users: Download the Dott App: Start by downloading the Dott app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. You can also visit the Dott website if you prefer using a browser. Create an Account or Log In: If you're a new user, sign up by entering your email address, creating a password, and adding your payment details. If you already have an account, log in using your email and password to access your rental history, payment preferences, and more. Locate a Scooter or Bike: Once logged in, open the Dott app to find available electric scooters or bikes nearby. The app will show you a map with the location of nearby vehicles. You can zoom in and out to find a Dott vehicle in your area. Reserve and Unlock the Vehicle: Select the vehicle you want to rent. You can reserve it if you want to ensure it’s available when you’re ready. Once you’re at the vehicle’s location, tap Unlock on the app to activate the scooter or bike. You’ll be asked to scan the QR code on the vehicle to unlock it. Start Your Ride: After unlocking, you can start your ride. Follow local traffic rules and ensure you are riding safely. Dott scooters typically have a speed limit of around 15 km/h (9 mph), and bikes may have varying speed limits. Track Your Ride: The Dott app will show you real-time information, including: Distance traveled. Time spent. Estimated fare. You can monitor your ride throughout your journey. End Your Ride: When you’re ready to end your ride, find a designated parking area or a safe spot to park your scooter or bike. Tap End Ride in the app to lock the vehicle and stop your trip. You’ll be charged for the duration of your ride. Pay for Your Ride: Once you end your ride, Dott will automatically calculate the fare based on the time and distance traveled. You can pay directly through the app using credit/debit cards or other payment methods saved in your account. Leave Feedback: After completing your ride, you can leave feedback about your experience to help improve the service. You may also be able to rate the scooter or bike for its condition, helping future riders choose better-maintained vehicles.
