Download and Install: Download the Speed Test app from the Google Play Store for Android or the App Store for iPhone. Install the app and open it to begin testing your internet speed. Change Servers (Optional): You can manually select a different server for the speed test by tapping the server icon. Monitor Network Consistency: Perform multiple tests at different times of day to monitor the consistency of your internet connection. The app stores historical data, allowing you to track fluctuations and performance trends over time. Test Wi-Fi vs Mobile Data: The app allows you to test the speed of both your Wi-Fi and mobile data (3G, 4G, 5G) connections. Switch between these modes and run tests to compare the performance of different networks. Advanced Metrics (Optional): Some versions of Speed Test provide additional metrics such as jitter (variability in ping), packet loss (lost data packets during transmission), and streaming quality tests for specific services like Netflix or YouTube. Save and Share Results: Save your speed test results to track your network performance over time. You can also share your results via email, messaging apps, or social media to show others or report issues to your ISP. Troubleshoot Network Issues: Use the app to troubleshoot network problems by running speed tests when you experience slowdowns, buffering, or disconnections.
