Toggle between Magnetic North and True North for better accuracy outdoors, and follow clear calibration guidance to keep readings precise. Lightweight, offline-friendly, and clutter-free, it’s ideal for hiking, travel, and everyday navigation.
HOW TO PLAY:
1. Download and open The Compass -Simple-; no sign-up required.
2. Allow location and motion sensor permissions when prompted.
3. Calibrate by moving your phone in a smooth figure-eight until the accuracy indicator improves.
4. Choose True North or Magnetic North in settings, then hold the phone flat and read your heading.
5. Keep the device away from magnets and metal, and recalibrate if prompted for best accuracy.
